Many people contact me because of my experience and advocacy or because of my attuned, active approach to psychotherapy. Many prefer to work with a therapist who is knowledgeable and affirming of their marginalized identities or lifestyle and who embodies a deep sense of cultural humility. I welcome people of every ability, age, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, race/ethnicity, and religious/spiritual affiliation, and strives to integrate culture and intersecting identities into the therapeutic process.
What can I expect in treatment?
My approach to therapy can be described as dynamic, emotion-focused, and somatically-informed. I am active in the process and pull from multiple modalities to help you understand, heal, and transform your patterns in order to have enriched relationships and more personal power.
In the first session we typically discuss relevant historical information and your goals for treatment. Once in treatment, we will explore your experiences from a non-judgmental lens to clarify your authentic desires, experimenting with interventions and tools to bring change and address new issues as they arise.
What are your private pay fees?

Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time, but can provide documentation that you may submit for partial or full out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company. You are encouraged to contact your insurance company to secure details regarding your out-of-network benefits prior to your first session.
What is your payment policy?
I accepts check, cash, or credit card, paid in advance or at the beginning of the session. In the event that full payment is not made during the session, a grace period will be allowed without a late fee for payments received by 5:00 pm the next business day. After which, there will be a $25 charge for late payments made within the same week, and a $30 charge for late payments the following week.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice requires payment in full. Remote telephone or videoconferencing appointments may be available if you are unable to make it to the office (e.g., you are sick or traveling). These methods can also be planned in advance for individuals with frequent travel or chronic health issues.
What if I am unable to afford your rate?
A sliding scale is available on a limited, case-by-case basis. If the stated fees serve as a concern or you, please contact me directly. If I is unable to accommodate your financial circumstances, referrals to other therapists may be provided.
